FinCEN Requirement
Starting in 2024 newly formed, corporations, limited liability companies (LLCs), limited partnerships, and other entities that file formation papers with a state’s Secretary of State’s office (or similar government agency) must file a report with the U.S. Treasury Department’s Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) providing specified information regarding the entity’s “beneficial owners.” Entities in existence prior to January 1, 2024, have until January 1, 2025, to file these reports.
He will discuss the requirements, who must follow the filing and how can we do this.
James Marta CPA, CGMA, ARPM is the Managing Partner of James Marta & Company his firm specializes in serving government nonprofit entities and has a specialty in governmental, nonprofit and captive pooling. He is also the Accreditation Manager for the California Association of Joint Powers Authorities and as served with CAJPA for over 20 years.
SurvivingAn Active Shooter Incident
This presentation will define the characteristics of an Active Shooter and help to identify potential behaviors of concern within the workplace. Discussion will include the civilian response to an active shooter incident and how our actions can dramatically affect the outcome of an attack.
Christopher Kimble, Sergeant in the Newport Beach Police Department, has worked on a variety of assignments including Patrol, SWAT and Detectives. There has clearly been a growing need has emerged for civilian training in response to the growing threat of active shooter and workplace violence. Since that time and with education provided by the FBI and HSI, Sergeant Kimble has provided crucial training to numerous corporations, businesses, churches and schools on the subject matter of Active Shooter and Threat Assessment.
